In July 2020, Glowday became the UK's first online marketplace for medically qualified aesthetic practitioners. Launching at a time where the cosmetics industry was thriving but lacked proper regulation, the business took off with an incredible start and Co-Founders Hannah and Joby managed to secure seed funding in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Shortly after launch we spoke with Joby about the imagery on their website. Despite Glowday's practitioners being among the highest qualified in the UK, the images being uploaded to their site were of mixed standard, failing to represent the quality of Glowday's treatments and ultimately hindering customer conversions!
So, we took our understanding of Glowday's greatest challenges and pulled together a bespoke photography proposal which enabled them to capture high quality images, across a high volume of locations, for a fair price.
We did our research and presented a handful of image variations which work well for cosmetic clinics and shared the list with the Glowday team. Collaboratively, we then identified which image types should be prioritised within the 1-hour and 2-hour packages available. This included a mix of photography styles including:
Professional Headshots
Headshots of Glowday's individual practitioners at their clinics across the UK to present their professionalism to customers.
Property Photography
Images of the clinic's treatment rooms and wider interior to capture the quality of service and help the customer to understand what to expect upon arrival.
Product Photography
Product shots showcase the product range available at Glowdays' listed clinics, these products are both used in client treatments and are often available to be purchased too.
Lifestyle Photography
Lifestyle imagery of Glowday's clinicians helps to express individuality and attract customers online. Displaying real life interactions with customers and helps to add an especially personal and human touch to clinic listings.
