How we add the magic to your photos

All photos you receive in your gallery will have been edited by our in-house team. In addition to basic adjustments of exposure, colour and sharpness, our dedicated team of editors uses advanced tools to give your photos a beautiful finish. For business events we usually keep the edits clean and minimal, whilst for personal occasions we prefer a more elegant tone. Below are a few samples from real Perfocal bookings:

Perfocal only picks the best photographers

Be it a wedding or a birthday party, we know that the best moments are fleeting and it’s crucial to get the right photographer to capture these. That is why we have a stringent screening process for every photographer who applies to join Perfocal:

  • We carefully check their portfolio and relevant experience in the past.
  • We make sure they all use pro-level equipment. On average our photographers have invested over £4,000 in cameras and lenses.
  • We interview the photographers to get to know them as a person.
  • As an approximate, only two out of every ten applicants are approved to be Perfocal photographers.
  • And finally, we keep a close eye on regular work produced by each photographer to ensure that high quality standards are maintained.

This is how Perfocal maintains a highly skilful pool of photographers. When you book a shoot, we further filter within our network based on the info you provided (shoot type, time & location etc.), and find THE individual who is specifically best suited to excel at YOUR shoot.

Everything you need to know about booking a Perfocal photo shoot.

Prior to booking
24x7, you’re able to make a booking at any time! Thanks to our large network of photographers, we can guarantee 100% availability and fast confirmation. Please bear in mind that late night bookings (placed after 11:00pm) may not be confirmed until the following morning. (Yes, photographers sleep too)

If you need live help about your booking, you can contact our support team between 9:30am-7pm Mon-Fri and 11am-5pm Sat-Sun (UK time). You can start a live chat or call us at 020-8089-8087.
Our system allows you to book for a shoot tomorrow or up to 12 months into the future. However, we do recommend a minimum of 48 hours notice for most bookings. There may be an urgency fee for bookings within 24 hours.

If it is particularly urgent (within 12 hours), you can call us at 020-8089-8087 or chat with us and we will try our best to arrange something.
Our approach values a more natural look and candid feel in photography. For portraits sessions, expect more spontaneous shots taking advantage of the beauty of natural light (when available). Our editors will often bring a softer shade on the skin, and overall a bright and elegant tone to the finished photos.

Your photographer will get in touch prior to the shoot to understand any specific styles you prefer, some sample photos or even a Pinterest collection will be very helpful during the communication.

You will not need to select a specific photographer. Our smart platform will understand your needs and pick the best photographer possible for the date and location you specify. All our photographers have gone through a rigorous vetting process to ensure they are all experienced and deliver at a high quality. Our in-house editing team also ensures all images are delivered consistently.
Full payment when booking is required to secure your shoot slot and your photographer. Your photographer will be paid after the job is confirmed as complete.

All payments are made through Perfocal's website and are processed securely by Stripe, one of the world’s most advanced payment gateways. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
At the moment we cover all of the UK. Find out your local availability via our booking page.
Most of our packages are eligible for free cancellation, as long as it's done up to 72 hours before the shoot. For details please check our cancellation policy here. Refunds will be credited to the original card you used for payment. You will receive an email notification when a refund is issued, but it may take 3-5 days to appear on your bank statement.
After booking
You’ll receive an email confirmation of your booking and also an other email notification soon when your photographer is assigned. Expect a call from your photographer to discuss the shoot in full detail.
Your photographer will usually get in touch by phone shortly after your booking is confirmed. But you can also initiate the call with the contact details provided in our emails sent to you.
If needed, you can extend your shoot for 30 mins or 1 hour during the shoot as long as your photographer has further availability. You can do this via your booking dashboard. Our extension charge is £50 per extra 30 mins.
Yes, all our packages come with standard photo editing by our own editors team. This includes adjustments on exposure, sharpness, contrast, colour tones and temperature, composition etc. It does not include advanced retouching services such as skin smoothing, object or blemish removal etc.
You'll receive an email notification when your photos are ready. This will be within 48 hours of your shoot (unless you have purchased the 24-hr delivery add-on).
We will deliver the finished photos in digital formats (.jpeg) to your private online gallery. You can access it from the delivery email, or by simply logging in. You can download or share your photos from the gallery easily.
